Saying he has learned with great pleasure that the government has authorized the [Russian Musical] Society in St. Petersburg, asking for Wielhorski's support and for that of the empress-mother and the princes and princesses now at Ems, saying that Wieniawsky, a violinist of very great talent, wishes to settle in St. Petersburg, mentioning Vieuxtemps, Piatti, Berlioz, Franchomme, Roger, etc.
